Let's All Pass the Hat for Jared

Posted by: danzinski

Jared Allen has unshockingly been fined again, this time for using the ball as a prop during his post-sack celebration toward the end of the Bears game last Sunday.  This fine was only $10,000 – peanuts compared to the 3 $25,000 ones he’s coughed up for various illegal hits on quarterbacks.  At this rate Jared won’t have any dough left to buy real Christmas gifts and he’ll have to put on his turkey disguise (hit “quick hits – jared allen turkey, etc., in the right menu) and go shopping at Goodwill.  “I love this coat Jared.  But why does it smell like old lady?”

Meanwhile…A certain amount of outrage is being expressed over the NFL’s failure to fine Adewale Ogunleye for what was perceived by many as a late hit on Gus Frerotte.  Apparently the league also thinks Gus flopped.  I’m past it myself.  We won the game.  We have a chance to take control of the tiebreakers tomorrow.  Let’s just forget it.

Whatever.  But a late hit is a late hit by rule, of course it apparently only works on whomever the Refs want it to.
As to Allens late hits, put dresses on the QB’s and fine anyone that comes near them.  Lets get a little real here.
