Clampdown

Both defenses have really clamped down in the second half.  Donovan McNabb has Brian Robison and Jared Allen both hanging off him like fungus and Tarvaris Jackson…well, he was decent in the first half outside of that pick, but hasn’t done much of anything since halftime.  Adrian Peterson and Brian Westbrook are both being stuffed right now.  The game seems like it’s going to turn on a big special teams play or a turnover.  The turn better happen fast for the Vikes cause they’re still down by two with only half a quarter remaining.

Update:  Three seconds after I posted this Brian Westbrook broke free on a screen pass and scored a 70-yard touchdown to make it 23-14 Eagles.  Barring a miracle, the Vikings’ season will end today.

dude i dont know what 2 tell u guys r the vikings ever gonna do anything...well if they r there is 1 huge important piece missing........QUARTERBACK...........they r a solid team they just need a god damn QUARTERBACK.i mean common tavrais jackson outta Alabama st. isnt the answer some more db's wouldnt hurt either

I know the feeling.....they always seem to beat themselves...through crappy play calling, or key players getting suspended. or the QB throwing a ridiculous pass that looks like him and the defense are playing catch. Regardless, it's so frustrating that after 5 years we finally tiptoe into the playoffs only to get our asses kicked in the first round.....pathetic. I felt the loss coming with the interception returned for a touchdown.  Damn it, why can't the Vikings surprize me for a change?
