bud grant had fran tarkenton, one of the greatest of all time. the qb that invented the short passing game, using the backs, and bringing the "west coast offense" to minnesota before bill walsh had a jockstrapp on? well there ya go

Vote of confidence (or kiss of death?): Vikings coach Mike Tice gets the dreaded "backing our coach 100 percent" line from owner Zigy Wilf.
Maybe this vote of confidence for Childress will be the same vote of confidence that Zigy Wilf gave to Mike Tice in 2005.

Yeah... He managed to not look stellar against the Lions. That's a reasonable indictment. Question: Would the Bears have put up a better fight on Sunday?

don't get me wrong i hate childeress, he is the biggest waste of nfl talent since herm edwards. it's not just chilly, to me it seems that coaching skills are getting worse and worse throughout the league. simple things such as time management. setting up one play by giving a formation look or shift during a previous play. how about that throw that westbrook threw during the broken play, i'm sure it wasn't called but it made the corners respect the option and they no longer broke off routes to tackle running back. and we all know what westbrook did after that! it's the little things. like when farve fakes throwing the ball after handing it off (he does it every time so he looks like a fool and d-backs don't respect it) but its something that learned from a good coach. to play every play till the end. or more importantly where are the adjustments? more than once i saw mckinney blocking no one while two rushers went up the middle and t jack was running for his life or sacked.
did the vikings ever use a two minute offense this season? is it above t jacks head? or for that matter ferotts?
once again i'll pray for bud grant
