Vikings Fending Off L.A. Group

From today’s Access Vikings:  The L.A. real estate developers who want to build a stadium in Industry, CA and lure the Vikings there have been in periodic contact with the team, admits Viking VP of public affairs and stadium development Lester Bagley.  But, says Bagley, “I haven’t heard anything from them within the last few weeks. But we’ve basically said we’re not ready to talk to you. We’ve got issues to resolve here. We’ve still got time. Our product is ready to go. If we get some collaboration, we don’t have to worry about it.”  The Vikings’ Metrodome lease expires after 2011 – so they’ve still got time to convince the legislature that building a replacement for the decrepit and revenue-limiting Metrodome is worth spending precious taxpayer money on.  But they don’t have forever.

good luck guys and i mean that with all sensarity….. i’ve come on hear blowin my horn about the move to L.A. for you guys not meaning to cause you guys to hate the shit out of me, but to wake the viking fans up to this danger that could happen. you guys got the power to vote and get changes done. thats what i meant when i said all i ever hear is bitching and no action is ever done about it. call your state reps, then bitch, bitch, and bitch…..thats when it pays off. L.A. is gonna get a team. someone elses team. wheather its new orleans, sandiego, jacksonville???? who knows??? but if its in your corner, don’t let it be minnesota’s. don’t sit back and let it happen, guys……i’m sorry if i made enemies, but i had to get your attention this will be if you ignore it.

i ust feel that the nfl is is going to trget minnesota before new orleans ust because of the economic situation of the state. jacksonville i’ve heard mentioned???? and sandiego is probably going to get a deal done because of superbowl implications. that’s what jerry jones did in dallas, he gotter locked down for 2011 and that swung the final deal for the state and city backing that he needed to finish what he started with his own money.  just hate to see it happen for our area

Yea because stadiums are more important then fixing bridges right?

*sigh* I would be crushed if the Vikings moved to L.A. . Vikings wouldn’t even look right in L.A & plus the fan base in L.A. is worst than here! Nobody wouldn’t even have time to even go see the Vikings because California has 3 football teams. Do you really think they need another one? I don’t think so…  We’re the true Viking fans in Minnesota not L.A.! Why do you think so many teams that use to be in L.A. left that city? Because the fan base sucks! I would do anything to keep Vikings here in Minnesota because we  made pretty good history without a ring, but we still need that RING! One day… maybe next year i hope…

hey buddy fixin bridges is a federal problem not your local states to blame……watch who you throw shit on there. your US government is letting you down on that one.

One of the issues that rural Minnesota folks has is that they want a stadium located with easy access. The old Met stadium was a great location right off 494. I think it would have more support if it was built elsewhere.
