I agree with Bernie about the poor coaching. There is no dout that A good QB would play a major role in helping our chances to get to the super bowl. But, what if we had Bill Belicheck at the helm. I bet he would put a system in place that would win games. That includes winning games with the QB's we have know. I would love to find the right QB, and mcnabb or garcia would be a step up. (many steps in mcnabbs case.) The coaching is what is likely to keep us from getting to the superbowl either way.

One rip on Donavan McNabb is that he can't win the big game, which coincidentally was the same spell that haunted Daunte Culpepper's career. Do i hope that the Vikings get to the Superbowl? Of course, but i really want to see them win it if they get there. We can't afford to be like the Chicago Bears when they played the Colts a few years back. Chicago had the better team on defense, yet they lost the game because their QB Rex Grossman really played bad, and it made the Colts defense look good. The Vikings have the defense to get us there, but what good would that be if Jackson or Ferotte were at the helm? Is Jackson any better than the previous season, i would say no. He always seems to panic, and throw the bad interception, especially when the games' on the line. The teams that consistently make the playoffs are the teams with good QB's, such as Brady, Manning, Rivers, etc. Another big problem is the play calling, it's terrible. Remember when Brian Billick gave us excitement on offense with his smart play calling. Rehire Billick, either as offensive coordinator or head coach, get somebody in there that knows offense. One other rap is on the defense, believe it or not. As long as i've been a fan, why is it that we always let the other team get a first down when it's third down and 25yds. to go? Buckle down guys, don't give up the big play on third down. Hey, maybe Jackson could shock all the fans and have a Pro Bowl season this year, but i would'nt bet on it, and i doubt Jeff Garcia would lead the Vikes to the bowl, no matter how optimistic fans are. All around, it's going to be a tough call to make in choosing a starter, we might try choosing a team leading QB, hopefully a winner this time.
