With the beginning of the free agency period just hours away, Chip Scoggins of the Star-Trib reports that the Vikings are taking a long, hard look at UFA wide receiver Nate Washington, who has become a hot commodity the last couple of days (despite the market being flooded with wide-outs). Washington caught 40 balls for 631 yards and 3 TDs last year for the Steelers, and is believed to be looking for $7 million in guaranteed money. The Rams, Buccaneers and Titans are also believed to be interested in procuring Mr. Washington’s services. There’s no doubt the Vikes could use another speedy wide-out to complement Bernard Berrian and slot man Bobby Wade.

I agree that the Vikes should try to make a deal for Houshmandzadeh, not Washington, he's not worth the money. Living in Pennsylvania, i see a lot of the Steeler games, and Washington drops a lot of easy-would-be-receptions. Leave him in Pittsburgh, because T.J. is a better reciever, hands down.
