T.J. Houshmandzadeh Will Sign With Seattle Seahawks

What I predicted earlier today has come to pass:  T.J. Houshmandzadeh has chosen the Seattle Seahawks over the Vikings and BengalsMichael Smith says the contract is five years, $40 million (more years than I expected, less money).  Hope T.J. enjoys playing with Matt Hasselbeck and Seneca Wallace.  Yeah.  Great QB situation there. Way better than the Vikings.  Oh, and look at those terrific running backs Seattle has.  Um…what are their names again?

(Editor’s Note: I spent a good hour making that picture – that’s supposed to be confetti by the way – and didn’t want to waste it.)

I guess money talks and WINNING walks

Wow, atleast you Vikings dont sound bitter. The Seahawks have a way better QB situation and have been far more successful over the past 6 years….Yes, they had a horrible season in which their top 7 WR’s went down in the first four weeks, but its not like TJ is choosing the Lions over the Vikes.

What makes Minnesota fans think they are “the team to play for if you want to win”. The Vikings have no shot at winning a Super Bowl with that garbage they have at QB.

  • Mike

Housh said he only cared about the coaches, offensive line and running backs.  He said nothing about QB.  Ya, right.

  • Ben

You guys had one OK year and you are all on your high hoarse. You have one of the worse QB’s in the entire league!!! With out the long list of freak accidents, over 11 starters, we would have been right back in the playoffs for the 5 strait year in a row!!

Also, we the loudest stadium in the league and best facilities why they hell would he want to go play in Minnesota…..hell on earth

  • Trent

oh my goodness. you are right. matt hassleback is the worst qb in the league. just god awful. i mean the dude was injured all last year and he lead the hawks to 5 straight NFC West titles. oh and our running game is terrible. i mean our whole O-Line was injured again last year. so our running game was def at its top. jesus you are just a bitter bitch.. to quote jim calhoun GET SOME FACTS!!! oh btw how did the vikings do in the playoffs last year????

  • Bob Happy in Seattle

Wow, here in Seattle we are excited to get such a great player in Free Agency and we do appreciate the luck of the draw we got.  The last time we had such an impact player in the headlines it was Cortez Kennedy and before that it was The Boz!  As far as us being less than a great team, I beg to differ, we have had some really good years and a highly underrated quarterback in Matt Hasselbeck .  The Seahawk players are a bunch of decent guys working hard, no big egos.
(I can understand the frustration, we are still bitter about the referees in the Superbowl with the Steelers).  We love our Hawks and actually we think the Vikes are one of the good organizations.  You guys are a class act too and you have some great players.  Tell Hutch we miss him!

  • Mike

I agree that the Seahawks had a freak year with injuries.  I think we should grab one of their WRs, like Engram or DJ Hackett, on the cheap.  But let them keep Burleson, who they got to bite off their nose to spite their face, for losing Hutchinson.  They haven’t been the same since losing Hutch – Ha, ha.

I am happy that the Seahawks got Housh. He is the first impact receiver they will have had in what 20 years? They will have a chance to be competitive in a very very weak division and I look forward to seeing Housh play at the U. of Phoenix Stadium next season.

Props to the Seahawks for saving my team from itself. Way to pay No. 1 money to a No. 2 wideout.

NFC West is weak?  Everyone says that but the reality is the NFC West has represented the SuperBowl 2 of the last 4 Years.  And they probably would have one both if wasn’t for poor officiating.
