Jay Cutler is Selling His Denver House

It might be a mistake to read anything into this, but it is nevertheless a provocative item given all the rumors swirling around Jay Cutler and his future with the Denver Broncos:

With off-season workouts scheduled next week at Dove Valley and uncertainty about whether Jay Cutler will show up, the quarterback on Thursday put his multi-million dollar Parker house up for sale.

According to records found by The Denver Post, Cutler’s 7,516-square-foot house on nearly 1-1/2 acres is advertised for sale at $2 million, the real estate listing says. Cutler bought the house in 2006 for $1.34 million.

Earlier this week, Cutler came away from a conference call with Broncos coach Josh McDaniels believing that he might be traded between now and the NFL draft on April 25, a NFL source told The Denver Post.

The Broncos had a different impression of the call, thinking it was a positive talk, a team source said.

Okay, so maybe Jay just didn’t like the place.  It happens.  Still…it’s the kind of thing that adds fuel to the speculation fire.  And that’s what we want – plenty of hot, flaming speculation, over which to roast marshmallows of hope.

Cutler might be traded, but not to the Vikings, unless they figure out some 3-way trade, because the Vikes have no QB to offer in return.

Please dont leave us Jay, we love you in Denver. Find a way to work this out.

Audrey, after viewing the Denver Broncos website, you’re one of the very few fans that actually like Jay Cutler. I think your new head coach set the tone for Cutler’s anger by mentioning his name as trade-off for Matt Cassel. Add to that , Cutler’s un-popular remarks comparing himself with John Elway, has all the makings of an unhappy situation, which in turn brings change. I hope Cutler decides to leave Denver and play for the Vikings, and not sign with the Browns, a team that is several years away from greatness.

To bad he’ll go to the browns or the lions

  • Ryan

No, it will be a three team trade, browns, vikings, broncos

  • will

Bernie are you an idiot? we love Cutler in denver.

  • Mike

NFL.com reports “A source close to Cutler said he most likely will attend McDaniels’ first team meeting Monday and that the quarterback has considered selling his home for more than a year.”  Now we can forget about Cutler and move on to someone else.  Favre anyone?

Will, I’m just going by what I’ve read, if you’re one of those Denver fans who like Cutler, then more power to you, but i’d suggest reading comments from fans on your own blog, before resorting to immature name calling to get your point across.  Hey, it was you’re own coach who started the mess anyways, maybe you ought to take your pot-shots at him, maybe he’s the idiot.

I was watching the Denver Broncos when Craig Morton was QB and the Broncos had the famous Orange Crush defense, that the Dallas Cowboys shredded to pieces in the Super Bowl. I know being a Vikings fan for many years, that we’ve taken our lumps in the big games, but I probably know more about Denver’s football history than their own fans, maybe because i’m an idiot, or maybe Randy Gradishar was their best middle-linebacker, who retired too soon.
