Ryan's 3-way trade could happen but not the same way. I was right Denver wants Brady Quinn but wrong that Cleveland wouldn't be happy with Derek Anderson. The problem is NFL experts are saying only the Jets, Bucs and Lions (and not the Vikings) are willing to pay the price with Denver and Cleveland. Hopefully, the Jets get Cutler and the Vikes get Favre.

We need Brian Billick to help revive our offensive playbook, that is ,after we get Cutler to Minnesota. Remember those days when we averaged 35 points a game, and scored the most points ever in one season- that was Brian Billick. Childress should stay, just to keep the players out of trouble, but we need an offensive coordinator, like right now. If this Cutler chance falls through, and the Vikings miss the playoffs this season, say goodbye to Chilly.

To say that Childress had great success with the Eagles is kind of joke. He wasn't even allowed to call plays in Philly, Andy Reid did that. Thats why the Eagles haven't missed a beat since Chilly left. They're still going to the playoffs on a regular basis, making it to the divisional round a few years back and then the NFC Championship last year. And Chilly essentially took 3 years to get the Vikings back to where Mike Tice had the team when he left.

Vikings would essentially get Cutler, nothing else of consequence, for a 1st, 3rd and Chester. This would be a lot for Wilf and Chilly to give up, especially after the Allen trade last year, but let's assume they agree. The biggest problem would be the Broncos are demanding a QB solution and I don't think Derek Anderson would qualify, whereas Brady Quinn might, but then the Browns would be left without a QB they want. Either the Broncos or Browns will probably bolt from this trade simply because there are only 2 decent QBs among the 3 teams.

I am not gonna take any credit for this, but someone I know came up with an ineresting trade idea between the Vikings, Broncos, and the Browns....

Vikings get: Jay Cutler, Browns 5th, Tatum Bell
Broncos get: Derek Anderson, Shaun Rogers, Vikings 1st
Browns get: Chester Taylor, Tony Scheffler, Vikings 3rd,
Go.

I really don't think Childress is the problem.... he had great success with the Eagles back in the day taking them to the Super Bowl and a bunch of NFC Championships, in Philly he had a QB he could trust and the second he puts trust in our QB's they throw 3 interceptions that cost us the game, so don't tell me it's all Childress because I guarantee if we had a great QB like he had with McNabb we would see a totally different offense on the field.

To be honest, I would love a great QB (or a better than average QB for that matter) but unless we have better coaching and play calling then it doesn't really matter who we have under center. Until we get rid of Childress nothing will change!

I really dont care if it take's giving up this rounds 1rst and a 3rd or even sending Chester Taylor along with the 1rst round pick to get Cutler. He is a franchise QB and at 25 is an elite QB in the NFL. I wanted us to draft him but Denver jumped up and got him before we did. This guy can run the West Coast Offense and im sure he wouldnt mind handing the ball off to # 28, they said another big trade of draft picks would set the team back for years. Well how many YEARS has it been since we have had a franchise QB ??? Culpepper and Cunningham arent franchise QB's. Cutler is and he is young with a rifle for an arm. Alot of ppl say he hasnt won anything in Denver. Well when you play musical running backs and have a Horrible Defense that couldnt stop my great grandma from scoring on them, its kinda hard to be relavent. I do know Denver had the 2nd best Offense last year. So we know that Cutler can put up the numbers. All I know is we better do everything in our power and throw the house at Denver to land Cutler. If they dont then I will be one very very upset fan, im sure I wont be the only one

I think we as Vikings fans all can agree that missing an opportunity to land a franchise QB like Cutler would be another setback in the history of the Vikings. How could Ziggy stand by and watch the Bears or the Lions, or even the Browns steal Cutler from Denver, and watch another dissapointing season with Childress, and his protege T-JAC ? Like Ryan said, How long do we have to wait for a good QB to lead us to the Super Bowl? He's also exactly right on, about great teams having great QB's. Sure, Cutler is one snotty son of a gun, but to Childress's credit, he could tone his attitude down quickly, and get down to business, that is taking us past the playoffs and into the Bowl. We can't afford to let this chance go, being a Vikes fan 39 years I THINK ALL US FANS DESERVE A WINNER, LET'S GET TO IT , GET CUTLER IN PURPLE!
