Somewhat old news, but still worthy of a mention: in their final mocks, SI.com writers Peter King and Don Banks disagreed about whom the Vikings will take with their #22 overall pick. King put down his sugar doughnut long enough to pick center Alex Mack – there’s a novel idea – while Banks went with the old reliable Eben Britton. King and Banks at least seem to realize that offensive line is the most pressing need for this team. Whether the brain trust will acknowledge this by their pick, only time will tell. It’s worth noting that King thinks the Vikes could reach for Phil Loadholt, while Banks seems to have done his mock without knowing about Chilly’s visit to Percy Harvin.

Pro football Weekly just released their final mock draft and they claim the Minnesota Vikings will select WR Percy Harvin: "With questions at quarterback, the offense needs a big-time playmaker, and as long as owner Zygi Wilf signs off on Harvin, the Vikings will land an impact player who can make their offense dominant. Harvin can do what Brian Westbrook does for the Eagles and would be a force in an offense with Adrian Peterson." I can't really say I agree since Harvin will not be the running back. Moreover, the Vikings need a better o-line to make this work. They should at least move up in round 2 to get a good right tackle.
