also being a Boise State fan, I see the Viks picked up a couple of quality players after the draft. These are Ian Johnson and vinny Peretta. Ian set the WAC career record for touchdowns beating out such backs as ladamien tomlinson and marshall faulk. Thse guys will both work very hard and I believe have a good shot at making the team....I hope the future shows me right. Go Vikings and go Boise State !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But the biggest reason I had to rate the draft successful is that if the Vikings would have selected tackle Oher in round 1 instead of WR Harvin, it would have been very difficult to get a good WR later. This year only 4 tackles went in the first 36 picks compared to all seven big WRs. Last year, it was the reverse with 8 tackles and no WRs going in round 1 and seven WRs in round 2. The Vikings were right to go WR then tackle.

The draft might work out if Harvin behaves and stays healthy and Loadholt develops. But I am glad I didn't pass up on Michael Oher. He could have replaced McKinnie at left tackle and perhaps they could have moved McKinnies to right tackle, solving two problems on the line at once.
