Bus Cook Once Again Says Brett Favre is Done

Bus Cook has heard the rumors about his client Brett Favre planning a return to the NFL, maybe even with the Vikings, and wants everyone to know that they are completely unfounded.  Cook told FanHouse that “not one” team has contacted him about Favre, saying, “Everybody assumes that a potential team is there. I haven’t talked to anybody.”  Then, when discussing a conversation he had with Favre’s former GM Mike Tannenbaum, Cook said:

We did talk about Brett’s experience in New York. They were so good to work with and Brett enjoyed his time in New York. He could come back and win a [another] championship like some other quarterbacks. He’s so popular that it would be great if he did come back. But as far as I’m concerned stick a fork in him.

Well, that pretty much ends it for me.  I mean, Bus is an agent – he would never lie or otherwise put out false information, in an effort to hide his client’s true intentions until such time as his client became ready to reveal them.  Agents are paragons of honesty, and would never bulls**t a website like FanHouse.  So I guess we’ll have to find something else to talk about.
