I’ve got something else to add.
I don’t know Brett Favre personally, but I DO KNOW BRETT FAVRE!
He hates Ted Thompson with a passion!
However, with that little side note in the back of our minds, I do know a little something else about Brett Favre.
If he plays for the Vikings he will go you EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING he’s got!

I am a resident of Appleton, WI. This is where all NFL teams stay when they play the Packers. I used to love the Packers with all of my being when Favre played for them. I also used to hate your Vikings from the depths of my former Green & Gold soul. However, since that loser Ted Thompson exiled Favre to the Jets, I’ve wanted Favre to strip the Packers and TT bare-naked with some pin-point TD throws. I’ve always believed his best chance at sticking it to TT and the Packers was with the Vikings. If Brett signs with the Vikings, I’m ordering a #4 Favre Minnesota Vikings jersey from NFL.com. I’m serious! Go Vikings!

dave your uncle better not let us down on this. Its tough being a Viking fan and living just North of Houston, but if its true and it happens I will wish your organization which i dislike dearly and will never have anything to do with untill Jerry is gone the best in this upcomming season

my uncle the ever seeing swame viking fan says his inside info from wherever?? he says a good scratch man never indulges his sources, anyways……he says it’s a done deal and the vikings will bring him in after the start of camp. my uncle has never been wrong on his so called “hunches” based on inside info he gets. never.

Dallasdave fan, a trophy would be beautiful, you know we dont have one of those. Been to the Dance 4 times and havent been able to pull a Ring out of our Ass’es yet. So yes if Favre brings us a trophy im sure all is well and all the Vikings fans that say that they would disown us for getting Favre would prolly back off that stance. Thats why were here is to get a ring and we all know our best chance this season is if Brett brings it back for a year or two. Like you said what do we have to lose, we have all the right piece’s in place besides a QB. Peterson is comming into his 3rd year and is ready to tear it up. I keep dreaming every night of seeing Farve in purple and hoisting up the Superbowl trophy. Dreams do come true

well boys, you know that i’ve been backin sage abou as well as anybody. no i’m not a viking fan, i’m a sage rosenfels fan cause he’s from iowa and i’ve seen him play. i know he can. but at the same time, i agree with your assessments of the vikings talent level and what farve could add to it. i’ve said that before too. weel, the puzzle is just missing one piece now, and personally i think you guys will get him. my uncle says,” hell ya, what do we got to loose at this point”? and he hates farve, oh man does he ever hate farve. and my uncle that lives in wisc. he is just sick, cause he says he knew this day would come, he just knew it. these guys are brothers, but they won’t talk to each other about this cause when it happens there will be a civil war in my family. now you know why i like the cowboys? well good luck to ya all, and you guys are definitely right about one thing…..he’ll put asses in the seats, a full dome puts money in zigs’ pockets and keeps the vikings in minnesota…..a trophy would go a long way too….think ziggy would want that????????????

Bernie i agree with y ou that if we do get Favre that we do need to make sure he is all healed up. I’d rather go into the season with Sage or Tjack being completly healthy then Favre to come in still injured. Glad that you are stepping up and admitting you are saying he was done and now reversing your stance on that. You do see what he could bring too this team is alot more than what people think. The Metrodome will be sold out for ever game, and it will definatly help keep the team in Minnesota where it belongs if Favre came with all the Media and revenue. Not to mention the whole body of team that we already have around him just fits. Dominant running game, Great Oline, descent wide outs, not to mention lets see what Percy brings, im very high on Mr. Harvin and what he can bring to us. Our Killer Defense, and a Dome which doesnt get cold and effect Farve due to his age. All the piece’s are in line for a huge run and the Superbowl, and add Farve to the mix without him having to play captain hero and do it all by himself, it would truly be a thing of beauty, Plus one up the packers

All day and Mike, I’ve been a Vikings fan for so many years, yet at first i questioned getting Favre as our QB, and i admit saying that he was finally washed up, based on his second half performance with the Jets, but also, because of his arm injury. Now, with circumstances the way they panned out, and our failure to pick up a proven veteran QB, i believe Favre would be a great leader for the Vikings, as our starting QB. We definitely have a talent-laiden football team on both sides of the ball, but i agree that our missing link is a team leader at QB, without a proven QB, we risk being just a mediocre team, but Favre definitely gives us a boost and a better chance at winning it all. I can understand some Vikings fans being skeptical about bringing Favre here, i certainly was a few months ago, but things have changed since then, and i believe it would be a big lift for the whole team if Favre can become our QB, but he better be healed and in shape to play, or it could turn into another New York Jets fiasco for our Vikings.
