i've always heard that farve is a great team mate. i've never heard anyone say that he was'nt, thats for sure. farve himself says that that is the thing that keeps him wanting to come back more than anything else. the comradory of the team and locker room aspect of the game. he misses it when he's away. the one thing all those guys live for is the war mentality of covering each others back when you go to it. thats what happens when you come together as a team. i speak for myself, that is the greatest felling in the world. i played D-halfbck. my backfield partner, who played a range of "freesafety", would always work with me to force a runner back to the inside of the field where we knew the other would always be there to make the tackle. it was awesome to look up and see the play unfold. walk up to the guy and hug him and say great hit, and have him say way to get him to me. that's something you can't find anywhere else. you form friendships for the rest of your lives with that.

On KFAN radio Friday, Childress also chided Ray Edwards for leading himself off the bridge by letting that lip flap. Childress admits there is an area off the locker room that Favre may try to use to dress. The equipment manager and his staff use it but guys like Steve Hutchinson also often duck into the room to watch television or play games. The Star Tribune's Judd Zulgad said his sense was Favre had his own locker area in Green Bay because he didn’t want to deal with the media during access periods.

Childress said Favre will be a great locker room guy. He talked to former Vikings fullback Tony Richardson, who was his teammate at the Jets, and he had nothing but great things to say about him. Childress said Favre plays the game with enthusiasm and excitement and there is kind of a boyishness even though he’s approaching 40 years old.
