Adrian Peterson on the Injury Report. Still too Early to Panic.

Adrian Peterson is two games into a potentially epic 2009 season, but it appears the brakes will have to be put on the AD train for at least a little while, as the running back has absorbed a slight injury to his back.

The injury happened during this weekend’s win over Detroit, in which Peterson ran for 92 yards on just 15 carries.  He was limited Wednesday in practice according to Access Vikings.

E.J. Henderson and Madieu Williams were also listed on today’s injury report, both with shoulder issues.  I don’t know for certain, but I think Williams’ injury happened when he ran into Calvin Johnson, a collision that caused Williams to lie on the turf for a few moments before getting up.  That Johnson dude is big and doesn’t have much give to him.

Hey, I never want to see a player get injured, but I can’t say I’m too sad about this as I think my opponent next week in fantasy football has A.P. on his team. But in real life, I’d rather see him fit and playing his usual awesome way.

Don’t worry man, i bet AD is fine. U know how Childress is, he won’t let AD get hurt even if he wants to go full practice so that’s why he’s limited in practice because of Chilly. Plus Frank Gore is on the injured list for da niners. He has a bad ankle so that means it will slow him down. Woot!
