Artis Hicks Fined; Percy Back at Practice

Artis Hicks has been slapped with a $5000 fine for unnecessary roughness against Rams defensive tackle Gary Gibson.

The transgression happened on that big 47-yard pass to Sidney Rice, and was not flagged (obviously, or the Rice play would’ve been brought back).  Gibson was engaged with Anthony Herrera when Hicks shoved him, causing him to fall awkwardly and injure his leg.

Hicks, who plans to appeal, said he didn’t mean to hurt Gibson.

In other news, Percy Harvin is back at practice after missing Wednesday’s session with a bad shoulder.  Percy and the Vikings look forward to tearing up that weak-ass Ravens secondary on Sunday at the Dome.

yup, I’m afraid this one’s gonna rest on ole Brett Favre shoulders (and his great receiving corps)
I forget which (maybe this) site mentioned that early on people said how many games could Favre actually win that they wouldn’t have won w/o signing him. So far I’m saying definitely 2. (GB and Rams)

But hey, I’d be thrilled if AD was the man of the hour on Sunday.

I would say GB and SF are the only team that we wouldn’t have beat without Favre, maybe wouldn’t have beat isn’t the correct verbage but had more trouble against, especially in the GB case. But to say we needed Favre against the weak ass rams, c’mon. AD was starting to become himself again in that second half, it was just pointless to keep him in at that point.

oops, sorry, brain fart, meant the GB and SF games (not Rams)
