LT likes his potential role with the Jets and especially the idea of being reunited with offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, who was quarterbacks coach in San Diego while Tomlinson was tearing up the NFL. The Jets like Tomlinson’s leadership ability and feel he can be a mentor to second-year running back Shonn Greene. Moreover, Greene doesn’t appear ready to withstand the pounding of a 16-game schedule after slowed by ankle and rib injuries after only 108 carries in the regular season. So why did they get rid of Thomas Jones? Chilly should sign his own WCO guys, like Westbrook.
