Adrian Peterson is not interested in dwelling on whatever went down between him and Brad Childress two weeks ago when AD elected to skip minicamp in favor of celebrating Adrian Peterson Day in Palestine, Texas.
“It’s over with,” Peterson said when asked about the small controversy during a media session at his two-day football camp at the University of Oklahoma.
Furthermore, Peterson assured reporters that in no way does he believe he should be excused from off-season activities just because the team allows Brett Favre to report whenever he feels like it.
“It had nothing to do with Brett Favre,” Peterson said. “If anyone deserves any kind of leeway, it’s definitely Brett Favre. He’s been there 20 years, a Hall of Fame quarterback. I’m not on the same level as him.”
And, yes, AD was asked if he thinks Favre will come back.
“I don’t know,” Peterson replied. “Same answer. It hasn’t changed all summer.”
Think AD is sick of answering questions about Favre? Think his being sick of those questions played a part in his not wanting to show up for minicamp? Think that same irritation might be why a lot of the veterans stayed away from OTAs?
