Closed: The FanSided All-NFC North Team Needs a Tight End

In case you hadn’t heard, the FanSided network is holding a tournament to decide which division’s teams have the best players.

In preparation for this epic showdown, the network’s NFC North bloggers have been working out our own divisional all-star team.

Many of the picks were easy. But some have required us to turn to the fans to make up our minds.

Bear Goggles On, our Chicago Bears blog, has been hosting a poll to determine the All-Division quarterback. This would be a good time to remind you to go over there and vote for the QB you think should lead the All-NFC North squad.

Meanwhile, it has fallen to The Viking Age to run a poll for tight end. Here are the four worthy nominees and their 2009 stats:

Jermichael Finley (Green Bay Packers): 55 receptions, 676 yards, 5 TDs (in 13 games)
Greg Olsen (Chicago Bears): 60 receptions, 612 yards, 8 TDs
Tony Scheffler (Detroit Lions): 31 receptions, 416 yards, 2 TDs (in 15 games w/Denver)
Visanthe Shiancoe (Minnesota Vikings): 56 receptions, 566 yards, 11 TDs

There’s no pressure to vote for Shank just cause this is a Vikings site. The poll will remain active until noon CT on Friday July 9.
