Migraine Fells Percy Harvin at Practice

Just when everything was starting to look up for the Vikings…now comes word that Percy Harvin has been taken to the hospital after collapsing on the practice field.

The culprit: a migraine headache.

The Pioneer-Press describes a scary scene: Harvin doubling over, vomiting and falling to the turf. Rescue vehicles quickly arrived, and Harvin’s teammates watched from a distance as he was loaded onto the ambulance and driven off.

“He had an episode,” said Brad Childress afterward. “Earlier, he had looked up in the sky fielding a punt and went back off the field to deal with it. And then he came back out to work with the offense, and quickly collapsed.”

Harvin, we remember, missed much of training camp with migraines, but was finally able to return on Monday. Last season, the receiver missed a lot of practice time and one game due to similar attacks.
