Vikings Release Final Injury Report

Chris Cook and Jimmy Kennedy are officially listed as out for tomorrow night’s sure-to-be-epic clash with the Saints.  Cook is recovering from a knee injury suffered in the last preseason game, while Kennedy continues to battle the bad knee that has bothered him for a couple of weeks.

The news is better on John Sullivan.  Last year’s starting center missed all of preseason with a calf injury, but he has been steadily recovering and is now listed as probable.  Jon Cooper would start if for some reason Sullivan is not able to go.

And then there’s Cedric Griffin, who was on the PUP list to start training camp as he recovered from a torn ACL, but worked his butt off and made the active roster.  Griffin is listed as questionable, which is generally taken to mean there is a 50-50 chance of the player being able to go.  The Vikings could certainly use Cedric against the Saints, who in case you hadn’t heard, like to pass it a lot.

Rookie running back Toby Gerhart is also listed as questionable with a bum knee.  Brett Favre and Jamarca Sanford are both probable.
