NFL Hands Out Fines for Lions Game Penalties

Two Vikings have received a total of $15,000 in fines from stuff that went down in Sunday’s win over the Lions.

Interestingly, according to Tom Pelissero, neither Jared Allen nor Detroit’s Shaun Hill were financially penalized for their actions during that little scrum that erupted in the second half.

Ray Edwards, however, was fined $5,000 for the shove that touched off the mini-brawl.  Edwards was also slapped with another $5,000 fine for a hit to the head of quarterback Hill.

Ryan Cook was also given a $5,000 fine for clipping Julian Peterson.  That penalty was one of the few blots on what was otherwise a fairly impressive effort by Mr. Cook, who was pressed into action after John Sullivan left with injury.
