Sidney Rice Updates Us on His Rehab Progress

Sidney Rice wants to make sure we don’t forget him amid Randymania 2.0.

In his latest blog entry, the injured receiver talks about welcoming Randy Moss into the fold.  “I met Randy today when he first came into the locker room and it was a big thrill for me,” Rice blogs.  “I had never met him before so I just went over and introduced myself. It’s pretty cool meeting one of the guys you grew up watching and looking up to. I can’t wait to get back out there and start working with him and learn some of the things he knows about the game.”

One thing Randy and Sidney can talk about:  what it feels like to be in the last year of your contract on a team you think doesn’t appreciate you.

Sidney also addressed his rehab, saying, “As for me, I’m feeling real good right now. I’m 6½ weeks out and going Monday to see Dr. Philippon in Colorado. Hopefully I can get off these crutches and start working on getting my strength back to where it should be and the muscles strong in my legs.  I’m not going to predict how long it will take for me to get back on the field full speed, but I will have a better idea after Monday.”

That’s okay Sidney, take your time.  84 can handle things for now.
