Brett Favre Listed as Questionable for Sunday vs. Cowboys

When the Vikings‘ final injury report comes out later today, Brett Favre will be listed as questionable according to head coach Brad Childress.

Favre has been limited in practice all week as he nurses his tendinitis-ridden right elbow.  That elbow caused Favre to suffer accuracy issues Monday night against the Jets.

The quarterback did practice on Friday, and looked “OK” by Childress’s assessment.

If Favre does play Sunday – and most expect he will despite the ominous injury report listing – he will likely once again be receiving snaps from Jon Cooper, who entered Monday night’s game in place of starter Ryan Cook.  The guy who was supposed to be starting at center, John Sullivan, is back at practice but will probably not be ready for Sunday afternoon’s tilt with Dallas.

CB Chris Cook is also expected not to play.  The Vikings have signed Frank Walker to give them depth at the position.

Favre will play, I just can’t see him sitting a game out at this point. This is an important game. The season can still be salvaged and Favre knows that if we lose this one it will have severe consequences.
