Vikings Trail Cowboys 14-7 at the Half

So much for the momentum carrying over from the second half of the Jets game.  The Vikings offense has been brutal so far against DallasBrett Favre is getting crushed.  Adrian Peterson‘s fumbling problems came back, though Favre ended up having the drop count against him.  The Vikes did manage to get one touchdown, capitalizing on a Tony Romo interception.

The defense too has been having its problems.  Despite Dallas repeatedly shooting itself in the foot with penalties, the Cowboys have been able to move up and down the field fairly easily against the Vikes, mostly utilizing screen passes and throws into the flat.  And Tony Romo has had a few big running plays.  By and large, the D has looked as clueless as the O, outside of the one big turnover they forced.  So far, the Panic Bowl is going the way of the Cowboys.  If the Vikes can’t get it together in the second half they will fall to 1-4 and their season may very well be over.
