The Vikings look like a team that’s on the verge of utterly blowing up. After a promising start, where the Vikings totally stuffed the Packers offense and moved the ball reasonably well themselves, things fell apart in short order. The meltdown began with a Toby Gerhart fumble after a short pass reception and run, then got worse when the Packers began torching the Vikings’ coverage, especially Chris Cook and Husain Abdullah down the sideline. The pass rush the Vikings produced early petered out as the half continued, giving Aaron Rodgers plenty of time to operate. Then the real calamity: With the Vikings driving for a possible score, Tramon Williams jumped a slant pass to Percy Harvin, picking off Brett Favre. The Packers then marched the other way for their second touchdown of the half to make the score 17-3. After the Favre pick, the quarterback could be seen barking at offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell on the sideline. It appears the Schism Watch is back in full effect.
