This news is concerning to me and the majority of the Metro area people. The people here have spoken over and over again that it is not worth it for the franchise to build a new stadium (if the taxpayers are going to pay for it). I read something that if the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area were considered a nation, we would have the 3rd highest taxes of any country in the world or something ridiculous like that. Taxes here are already so high and it's getting to be crunch time. If Zigi Wilf is not going to build the stadium himself and the Vikings aren't interested in extending the lease at the Metrodome (which is 30 years old or something and there are much older stadiums in the NFL), then it is time to pursue other locations where the fan base would approve of a tax hike. It is absolutely insane for Lester Bagley to say the following quote:

"We feel solid momentum and feel we're well-positioned with the new legislature and governor," he said in the chat. "Instead of spending energy speculating on other markets, let's keep the focus on building a world-class facility for the community and the state of Minnesota."

There is no solid momentum (at least amongst the majority of the tax payers) and those are the people that should be the deciding factor in this decision!

Thanks for listening.
