Bryant McKinnie is Skeptical of Childress-to-Miami Rumors

A rumor has begun circulating that Brad Childress could be a candidate to replace fired coach Randy Shannon at the University of Miami.  This rumor, as pointed out by Judd Zulgad earlier on Twitter, is mostly based on Chilly’s relationship with current U-of-M president Donna Shalala – who was Chancellor of UW-Madison when Childress was a coach there under Barry Alvarez.

To get a better feel for what U-of-M alums might feel about this somewhat shaky rumor, I decided to tweet at Vikings offensive tackle and former Hurricane stand-out Bryant McKinnieOur exchange was brief and to-the-point:

Clearly, McKinnie does not believe the rumor.  Or, if he does believe the rumor, he doesn’t agree that his former coach would be a good fit at the U.  Were I Donna Shalala, I would ignore Donald Trump, and take McKinnie as my sole advisor.
