Brett Favre said he would try to practice on Thursday and then decide on Friday if he would be able to go on Sunday for the Vikings against the Giants.
Well, Thursday is here and Brett is practicing. If you want to call standing on the practice field flipping balls to assistant coaches with his left hand “practicing.”
According to various reports, Brett did very little during the media-access portion of the Vikings’ practice. Speculation was that he would do more during the afternoon session, and maybe even try throwing the ball with his right hand.
Darrell Bevell told reporters that Favre is in “obvious pain” and said Favre has been having trouble sleeping because of the soreness in his shoulder.
So, Favre can’t throw with his right hand, and can’t even sleep on his right side because his shoulder hurts so much. But the arm is still attached as far as I know. So, I expect him to be starting on Sunday.
