The NFL has made a decision on time and location for the postponed Vikings-Giants game. The contest will now take place at Ford Field in Detroit on Monday night at 6:20 central time. The game will be televised by FOX in the Minneapolis, Rochester (Minn) and New York markets. My understanding at this time is that Duluth, Fargo, etc., viewers are SOL unless they have Direct TV or the URL of an illegal internet feed.
As for next Monday’s scheduled home finale against the Bears…the last report was that the Vikings are bringing in someone to look over the Metrodome roof and see if it can be fixed by then. If it can’t, the Vikings could perhaps play at TCF Bank Stadium, home of the Gophers. If not then the game would have to be moved to Detroit again I guess. It somehow seems fitting, after such a chaotic, drama-filled season, that the whole thing would end in literal catastrophe.
