All doubt has now been removed about Brett Favre‘s condition. The quarterback did indeed suffer a concussion Monday night, Leslie Frazier has confirmed.
Favre himself referred to his injury as a concussion during his post-game presser, but Frazier indicated last night that there was uncertainty about this diagnosis. Now the concussion is verified.
Per NFL head injury protocols, Favre will have to go through a battery of tests during the week before he will be cleared to play against Philadelphia next Sunday. There is also a chance the Vikings could end the whole matter by placing Favre on IR.
After the way things went down last night, I don’t see why Favre would want to chance playing again. I know he loves football but does he love it enough to put himself behind that horrific offensive line one more time, against a Super Bowl caliber team? For what? For who?
