Here we go again: Because of a deteriorating weather situation on the East Coast, the NFL is discussing postponing tonight’s Vikings-Eagles game. The forecast in Philadelphia today calls for seventeen feet of snow, hurricane force winds and dogs and cats living together.
Weather as you well know has not been the Vikings’ friend this year. They already lost their stadium roof to one snowstorm, and their quarterback to the hard frozen outdoor field they had to play on after fleeing said collapsed stadium.
If the game is indeed postponed to Monday night, the Vikings would become the first team ever to play three straight Monday night games. Unless the storm is so bad it gets pushed back to Tuesday, in which case they would become the first team ever to play two straight Monday night games followed by a Tuesday night game.
At the rate things are going, they may end up being the first team ever to just say the hell with it and not bother with their last two games.
