Vikings-Eagles Postponed Until Tuesday

In light of the quickly worsening weather situation in Philadelphia, the NFL has decided to postpone Sunday night’s regularly scheduled Vikings-Eagles game.  Here’s the kicker:  instead of merely postponing the game till Monday night, the league has elected to move it back all the way to Tuesday night at 7 PM CT.

League officials made it clear that playing the game itself was not the concern, but rather, whether fans and stadium employees could make their way safely to the stadium in the middle of a massive blizzard. Evidently, these dangerous conditions are expected to linger at least through Monday, necessitating a two-day postponement.

So, for the second time in three weeks, the Vikings are dealing with having a game pushed back.  They lost the first time, and in between, lost an alternate venue “home” game to the Chicago Bears.

It will take nothing short of a miraculous performance for the team to avoid falling to 0-3 during the blizzard-buggered portion of their schedule.
