Williams Wall Suspension Upheld By Appeals Court

The Williams Wall StarCaps case has bubbled to the surface again. Today’s news is bad for the Vikings and the Williamses. A Minnesota court has ruled in the NFL’s favor, meaning the league may now follow through on the original four-game suspension it slapped on Pat and Kevin for using a banned diuretic.

It was a diuretic wasn’t it? I’ve forgotten by now. Well, the important thing is, we now know that Kevin Williams will have to serve a four-game suspension this season. Pat Williams, we’re still not sure about. He might be retired. He might be back in the league with the Vikings. He might be playing with another team.

And of course the suspension could get appealed again. The joke all along has been that Pat Williams will retire before the NFL ever gets to suspend him. If this drags on a couple more years, Kevin too may be out of the league before a final ruling is handed down. It’s just gotten to be a big joke at this point.
