The Green Bay Packers are once again the champions of football. Congratulations to them on their epic playoff run and brilliant Super Bowl performance. And congrats to Aaron Rodgers on winning the Super Bowl MVP, an accomplishment that moves him out of Brett Favre’s shadow once-and-for all. I hope Everson Griffen turns out to be a really good football player. Because if he washes out of the NFL and has to get a real job? He might be in some trouble. Actually, trouble is something Everson already knows all about. In the span of 72 hours last weekend, the former USC Trojan was arrested not once but twice in his old stomping grounds of Los Angeles. While this NFL offseason has been loaded with uncertainty surrounding a possible lockout starting in early March, we do have one piece of information to pass along. NFL teams have been told by the league they will be able to use the franchise and/or transition tag starting on February 10th.
