NFL commissioner Roger Goodell today announced that the NFL plan on helping financially with the building of a new Vikings stadium.
The commissioner said after his meeting with Gov. Mark Dayton and others this morning that the league will contribute financially to its construction, and that he believes efforts to get the facility built are ensuring the team’s future in the state.
Although the commish hasn’t yet said how much the league will kick in, he has told said that there will be, more details announced shortly.
Goodell also toured the Arden Hills site on Monday and called the site “extraordinary” and “very exciting” and reaffirmed that the team’s leadership feels strongly about building there.
With less than a week left in the legislative session this could have a big part to play in the Vikings getting they’re stadium.
