I personally think Webb needs to start. The Vikings believe they had something in Ponder, obviously, because they picked him so high. They need to see if they have something in Webb, too.

If Webb plays well, next season Webb and Ponder battle for the starting job. If Webb doesn't play well, next season Ponder plays (assuming we don't draft high enough for Andrew Luck), and we spend the entire offseason converting Joe Webb into a Percy-Harvin-Like role (where he plays receiver, running back, kick returner, wildcat QB, and whatever else).

Now's our opportunity to see what we have in him.

I feel bad for Brady Quinn. Quinn and Orton are clearly better QBs than Tebow, it's too bad that Fox's hand has been forced, or that he even has to deal with this at all.

We've all brought up the hypotheticals of What if Hasselbeck or Palmer or Kolb had ended up with Minnesota....What about Orton? I would not have been disappointed at all if we had traded for Orton instead of McNabb. He's got a few years left in him and now has proven that he can win as a game manager (Chicago) but can also be a passer (Denver). I think if you put a good team around him, he is a solid QB.
