Here’s your positive spin on this one: The Vikings are losing 17-0 at halftime but honestly it could’ve been worse. The Packers got one TD on a punt return and another on a great Aaron Rodgers throw to Greg Jennings, then added a field goal, but since then the Vikes’ defense has pretty much stoned the Pack. The pass rush has gotten to Rodgers, preventing him from cranking up that fearsome passing game. Here’s the bad news: The Vikings offense has not been good. Christian Ponder has made a couple of good plays but has also been off on some of his throws, and made one terrible decision throwing deep into double coverage on a flea flicker for an interception. Adrian Peterson hasn’t gotten off the launch pad either. Percy Harvin did have a shot at one deep catch but was called for interference on the push-off. The Vikes also shot themselves in the foot a couple of times, most notably when Fred Evans false started to push Ryan Longwell five yards back on a field goal attempt. Longwell missed the field goal short. The Packers get the ball first in the second half and will try to put the game away with a scoring drive.
