We are lacking at too many positions to not trade down. Perhaps there are teams that want to leapfrog the ‘skins so they can get RG III. If they do not trade down, I hope they take Kalil at 3 to give Ponder some protection. He threw lots of INTs, mostly because he was hurried into bad throws by blind-side pressure. If Kalil goes at #2 then we should take Blackmon to give Ponder a deep threat receiver (provided we can protect him long enough to throw deep).

If we draft Claiborne, this will be the biggest draft BUST in vikings history! This guy sucks! Don’t believe the media hype. If you watch his games or highlights, yeah he gets interceptions every now and then, but the guy tackles like madieu williams, gets blocked so easily, not very physical so he’s going to get man handled by bigger receivers like a calvin johnson, wait a minute calvin johnson plays us twice a year. Claiborne is NOT a top 5 talent and that will be a tragedy is the vikings wasted a 3rd overall pick on this bum! I say Kalil or Blackmon or trade down!

I’m perfectly fine with them taking Claiborne at #3, quite pleased in fact … IF both of the following are true, 1)Kalil is off the board, & 2)they don’t have any trade partners offering excellent value to move up and grab RG3 before the Browns do. I’d much rather see them draft Kalil and take a hard look at players such as Colston, V Jackson, and Asaunte Samuel in FA to address some of their WR and DB needs.
