Vikings Will Not Bring Back Greg Camarillo

Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer-Press says the Vikings have informed free agent Greg Camarillo they will not attempt to re-sign him. The Vikes have a lot of tough free agent decisions to make this off-season but I’m guessing this wasn’t one of them. Camarillo did next to nothing in 2011 after making a decent contribution in 2010 both as a receiver and punt returner. Non-contributing veterans don’t have any place on a team that’s actively striving to get younger, and that’s why Camarillo is gone.

Updating the Vikings free agent scoreboard:

Re-signed: Patrick Brown

Let go: Greg Camarillo

Decisions left to make: 16

Rick Spielman has said he will have the full free agent plan ready by Friday. After that there should be lots more pink slips being handed out. No one ever said rebuilding was pretty.
