Adrian Peterson is on his way back. Leslie Frazier announced at the NFL meetings in Palm Beach, Florida that AD is currently in Minnesota with the Vikings’ training staff and will begin running on dry land this week. Up till now Peterson had been limited to running in a pool. If Adrian’s flat ground running goes well, he will begin carrying bags of rocks up the sides of mountains while humming the theme from Rocky. Then it’s on to Gotham City to punch the Riddler in the nads. He’s on schedule is what I’m trying to say.

All kidding aside, it’s obviously great news to hear that Adrian will soon be back to running. But here comes the part where I ruin everything by reminding you he’s still a long way from being 100% and may in fact never get back to his old 100%. Stupid reality. Well, after the horror of seeing his leg bent in half, we should be happy if he gets back to even 90%. I’ll take 90% of Adrian over just about anyone.
