Nike Unveils New Vikings Jerseys

Fans are getting their first look today at the new Nike-designed NFL jerseys. Anticipation has been building for this ever since it was announced that Nike, the company responsible for those ever-shifting and somewhat controversial Oregon unis, would be taking over as the league’s uniform provider. Speculation on what the new jerseys would look like has sometimes veered into the fanciful. But the experts assured us that for most teams the changes would be more in the way of minor tweaks. So how about those new Vikings duds. Well…

As expected the changes are minor, at least in terms of looks. According to Nike they’ve made all sorts of changes in terms of construction and material and how the things absorb moisture and a bunch of other technical crap. We’ll have to take their word for it on that. Personally, I wouldn’t care if they did mess with the look of the Vikings’ unis, cause they’re not very good unis. Maybe when the new stadium is ready to open the Vikes will also have some new unis along the lines of the re-designed Seahawks duds Nike revealed today.

Sound off in the comments fans. Are you glad the Vikes jerseys will remain the same? Or were you hoping for something a little more radical?
