Rebuilding the Vikings: Jerome Simpson Will Visit

Everything’s stadium drama in Viking Nation today, but nevertheless there is still regular business being carried on. Like the business of trying to find a fricking downfield receiver already. The Vikings will push that process forward, maybe, by visitingwith former Bengals receiver Jerome Simpson this weekend.

The good on Simpson: He had 50 catches for 725 yards last year, numbers that would’ve easily made him the second most productive receiver on the Vikes. Also, he can forward flip into the end zone better than anyone in NFL history.

The bad: In September of last year Simpson was found to have 6 pounds of marijuana at his residence along with paraphernalia indicative of a trafficking operation. In January Simpson was indicted for a glass D trafficking felony and in April was sentenced to 15 days in jail, 200 hours of community service and 3 years probation.

Did I mention he can forward flip into the end zone?
