Vikings Take Jarius Wright in 4th Round

Away we go on a busy day where the beloved Minnesota Vikings have a total of 9 picks today. Plenty of times to take a pot shot at getting lucky on the next Steve Largent or Tom Brady (fine… more like John Sullivan) and plenty of ammo to move around. General Managers had all of last night to reset their draft boards on a day where only the diehard of NFL fans know who over half of these guys are.

With the 118th overall pick the Vikings added more depth at wide receiver. The gist on Wright is that he’s a speedster, a savvy route runner and is a try hard guy who is all about team. The knocks on him are obviously his size at 5’9”, how struggles to get off of jams and is not that great at fighting for balls downfield. He is an asset however as a returner. Percy Harvin needs to be relieved of those duties to keep him fresh for snaps and Marcus Sherels may have just been put on notice.

One pick down, eight to go. Did we say it’d be a busy day?
