Lester Bagley: Amended Stadium Bill is "Unworkable"

The stadium bill passed the House yesterday but not without being amended to require that the Vikings kick in $105 million more than was agreed upon in the original language of the deal. Obviously the Vikings have no intention of paying a cent more than they originally pledged. Lester Bagley made this clear in his comments yesterday, calling the bill as presently written “unworkable.”

The word “unworkable” sounds forbidding but the experts are acting like this is all no big deal, just a minor detail that can be worked out. I’ll take their word for it. The Senate takes up a competing version of the bill on Tuesday so we can look forward to another long day of people making fun of politicians on Twitter. Democracy at work people.
