I apologize for the giant turd I’m about to drop in the middle of your otherwise happy Saturday afternoon: It appears Adrian Peterson is in legal trouble. Let me rephrase that. It appears Adrian Peterson is in a whole whopping poop-load of legal trouble. When the words “resisting arrest” enter into the situation, you know it’s not good.
The first report of this situation – which, let me remind you, we don’t really know anything about yet – comes from Pro Football Weekly’s Jerome Solomon. He tweeted, “Breaking news: Vikings RB Adrian Peterson arrested last night in Houston for resisting arrest by HPD.”
Again, this will need clarification. It sounds pretty bad right now but sometimes these things turn out to be not as serious as the first report suggests. Let’s keep an open mind and hope Adrian ends up being cleared. Cause, you know…we don’t need to turn into the Lions around here.
Update: A few more details on the Adrian Peterson arrest. Whatever happened went down at 2:30 AM in Houston (he works hard, he deserves a break). The official arrest report lists: “resisting arrest/search unclassified.” Which is…vague. The report from Ultimate Texans says Adrian is still in jail on $1,000 bond.
