Adrian Peterson Appears in Court; May Have to Return August 6th

Not a whole lot to report from Adrian Peterson’s Friday morning appearance in Harris County Criminal court. He looked pretty spiffy in his suit and tie – definitely better than he did in his mugshot Saturday morning. The only development worth reporting was the decision to reset the case for August 6th. That means Adrian may have to return to Houston for another court appearance pretty much in the middle of training camp. But since Adrian’s camp activities are expected to be limited anyway, if he does anything at all, it shouldn’t be much of a disruption.

There’s not much to report either when it comes to sorting out exactly what went down inside Live! at Bayou Place. The cops have their version and Adrian’s lawyer Rusty Hardin has his version. And there’s only that one video that shows nothing. No surveillance video has surfaced yet that we know of. Hardin continues to insist that the cops have no witnesses who will be able to corroborate their side of the story. Adrian faces a single misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest, a charge that carries a maximum of one year in jail.
