Adrian Peterson Taken to the Hospital With Allergic Reaction to Seafood

A rough offseason got a little bit rougher for Adrian Peterson Monday afternoon thanks to a seafood lunch gone wrong. Don’t worry, AD’s okay now, but for a minute things looked scary. Peterson reportedly suffered shortness of breath and swelling after eating something he evidently shouldn’t have eaten. 911 was called and Adrian was rushed to the hospital, but within hours he was back at the dorms resting up.

Leslie Frazier addressed the situation after practice Monday, saying everything is fine and assuring that Adrian will be back to his normal rehab regimen on Tuesday. You thought some seafood was going to stop AD’s quest to return to the field? You thought wrong.

Update: It was the shrimp in the jambalaya that reportedly got Adrian. Funny thing, Adrian always eats shrimp. Must’ve been a bad shrimp. Question: Was that Favre’s jambalaya recipe?
