Leslie Frazier: All Healthy Vikings Players Will Play Against the Bills

The Minnesota Vikings will be in full force (minus that one guy…what’s his name, Peterman?) in their second preseason game at home on Friday against the Buffalo Bills.

On Wednesday Coach Leslie Frazier said all healthy players will get a chance to show what they can (or can’t) do against the Bills, via Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.

“Our goal is to try to get those (starters) at least through the first quarter and maybe through part of the second quarter as well,” Frazier said. “We have a number of plays that we want to get to and we’ll see how it goes. But we want to get everybody some action before we get to that third preseason game.”

Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you are one of those “long-term” thinkers) Adrian, who practiced in pads on Tuesday for the first time since December 2011, will not play Friday. Maybe that’s a good idea against a revamped Bills defensive line that includes Mario Williams, Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus.

But most of the Vikings’ best (read: real) players will be on the field Friday including Jared Allen, Kevin Williams, Antoine Winfield and Percy Harvin.

We should see some improvement with three Pro Bowlers back on the field on defense and one on offense. That should equate to a little less snoring on Friday.

Maybe I’m just being optimistic.
