Tarvaris Jackson Will Replace Vince Young In Buffalo

The shoe is on the other foot for Tarvaris Jackson. The former Vikings quarterback is used to being replaced – sometimes by Hall of Famers – but this time he’s the one doing the replacing. The Seattle Seahawks will reportedly trade Jackson to the Buffalo Bills, who have already dumped veteran QB and former “Dream Team” member Vince Young to clear the way for T-Jack. As a condition of the trade T-Jack will agree to a new contract, reducing his 2012 pay from $4 million to a maximum of $3 million if incentives are reached.

The Seahawks will get a late round pick for Tarvaris, who became the odd-man-out in Seattle after the acquisition of Matt Flynn and the emergence of rookie Russell Wilson.

For Vince Young, this has to be considered the cruelest of all insults. From college sensation and #3 overall draft pick to Guy Who Lost His Job to Tarvaris Jackson. I’d be very surprised if  Young ever surfaces again on an NFL roster. For T-Jack…look we’re all Viking fans, so we all probably feel the same way about T-Jack. Nice guy. Nothing against him personally. But he sucks and we’re glad he’s gone. He’s now getting his SECOND chance to play since leaving the Vikings and frankly that’s shocking.

I guess it just goes to show how slim the pickings really are when it comes to NFL-quality quarterbacks. Tarvaris Jackson can be a #2 on a team with playoff aspirations. Dang.
